Queen Elizabeth II
21 April 1926 - 8 September 2022
It was with profound sadness that Fletching Parish Council learnt of the death of Her Majesty The Queen. The Parish Council extends its heartfelt condolences to His Majesty The King and to the Royal Family.
We remember with immense gratitude the lifetime of service which Her Majesty devoted to our Nation and to the Commonwealth.
Book of Condolence
A book of condolence has been opened at St Andrew and St Mary the Virgin Church in Fletching and is available for anyone who wants to add a message of condolence.
There is also an online book of condolence available on the Buckingham Palace website.
The Union flag at both the Church and the Pavilion on the recreation ground will be flying at half-mast during the period of National Mourning. However in line with protocol, in recognition of the new Sovereign, the flags will be flown at full-mast from the time of the Principal Proclamation at St James's Palace (11am on Saturday 10 September) until one hour after the Proclamations in Scotland, Northern Ireland and Wales, (12 noon on Sunday 11 September) after which the flags will return to half-mast in mourning for the death of Her Majesty the Queen.
