Wealden Police update.
Subject: Operation Consul update (2 updates)
30 January 2012 11:21:02 AM GMT
We are now into the second week of Operation Consul the murder investigation in Hailsham. I held a meeting with the community yesterday (29th Jan) which 32 people attended. I would like to thank all those that attended and for the support of the community during this time.
4 people remain on Police bail whilst further enquires continue and one 16yr old male is remanded in custody. As I said to the meeting yesterday I cannot confirm or deny any names given to me or my officers with regards to the person who has been charged. The court has stated that his name will not be released and therefore I would be breaching the court order if I gave out any information.

East Sussex Superfast Broadband
on 1st Decemeber ESCC hosted a broadband conference during which they notifyied the auidance of their aim to roll out superfast braodband across the county, work is already underway.
What is now required is information to support the project. By registering your support you will help inform the evidence base which will demonstrate to the funders that there is community support. Without this, it will be very much harder to draw down the funding allocated.
A web link will be provided by ESCC in due course where you will be able to register your interest. However, please send any supporting information to Fletching Parish Council at this time and we can collate and present the data.
