Fletching Parish Council – January Update
Firstly a Happy New Year to all readers, we trust you have had a very pleasant and enjoyable Christmas. We hope that not too many of you have suffered from a nasty bug that has been doing the rounds over the festive period. Please see below updates from the Parish January meeting:
Grass Cutting Tender; due to the disparity of tender returns the sub-committee responsible for considering contract award has decided to review and update the specification to ensure all expectations are included in tender returns. Thus the tender process has been re-opened with the new specification and the Parish Council would welcome returns by 27th February 2012. Please see the web article for more details and contact the Clerk to obtain a specification and tender return form.
Parking; following requests made to ESCC highways the ‘give way’ road marking have now been applied to the end of Cherry Cottages. It is hoped that these markings will deter vehicles from parking across the junction. Further works are planned and we will keep you apprised of progress.
Broadband; ESCC have now launched their county wide broadband programme. The aim is to provide high speed broadband across the county using funding from the government and grant matching. To ensure our parish needs are established a brief questionnaire will be distributed shortly to collate data that will support our cause. Please watch out for this and participate, or complete on-line by clicking HERE. More details available in the web article. |
